We offer a fixed fee first appointment with our Senior Solicitor for £200 including VAT & AML check, or with one of our Solicitors or Charted Legal Executives for £175 including VAT & AML check. This offers an opportunity for a detailed discussion as to your circumstances, the options available to you and the overall likely costs.
Further work is charged at our hourly rates and overall costs will depend upon the time spent on your matter which may vary significantly due to a range of factors including complexity and the extent and number of issues in dispute. We will be able to provide minimum fee estimates for steps involved in your matter and will confirm our advice in writing following the appointment.
Legal Aid
Some family cases may be covered by Legal Aid.
If your case involves social services bringing Court proceedings about your children then you will ordinarily be entitled to non-means tested Legal Aid.
In other circumstances where social services are involved or you have been the victim of domestic violence Legal Aid may be available. We will be able to discuss with you prior to any appointment whether Legal Aid may be available for your case, and if so, will inform you of the documents which the Legal Aid Agency will require.
